How to Adopt from WMERR
 

It is of primary importance to us that we match you and the prospective adoptee as carefully as possible, as you will be entering into a relationship for the rest of this animal's life. Our application process is extensive and may take a few days/weeks.


There is a $25.00 administrative fee for application processing. If your application is approved, the fee will be deducted from the adoption fee. Click the PayPal button below to pay the $25.00 administrative fee. Thank you for your patience with this process.
 
Please fill out this application as completely as possible. If you need more room, please use a separate sheet. In order to be considered as an adopter, you must:
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Allow a representative of WMERR to perform a Home visit.
  • If renting, have your landlord's written consent
  • Provide WMERR a letter of reference from your equine veterinarian.  If this is your first horse, please find your horse vet of choice, meet with him/her, and request a letter be submitted to us stating that the two of you have begun a working relationship.

 

The first step in adopting an equine from WMERR is to fill out and submit your application. There are two ways to send in your application:

  • Print out the "Application" PDF and mail it to WMERR.

  • Fill out the online fill-able "Application" PDF, save it on your computer, then email it to: wmerescue@gmail.com

 

Please remember to pay your administrative fee along with your application.
